Jason Derulo is a 20 year old Miami born singer who hit the big time last year with his track 'Watcha Say' which features a sample from the Imogen Heap song 'Hide and Seek.' Born to Haitian parents, Derulo has been living in the USA since he was born, and performing and writing songs from the age of five. His first song was called 'Crush on You.'
Derulo really made his start at the age of 16, when he began writing songs for Cash Money Records, the star penned tracks for artists such as Diddy, Lil Mama, Sean Kingston and Cassie, he was then signed to Beluga Heights records in 2006.
Following his debut album release on March 2nd, Derulo has been appearing as one of Lady Gaga's opening acts on The Monster Ball Tour.
